Hello from Unity! 

 

This letter is coming to you because you are a valued SUBSCRIPTION member at Unity.  We have some very exciting news and we wanted to send you an email, and make you the FIRST to hear about it.

 

We want to THANK YOU so very much for your loyalty to our Kit of the Month and/or SMAK Membership.  We are SO BLESSED to have you as part of the Unity family and we know how hard you work to continue to be able to get the kit each month.  It is important to us that you know how much we APPRECIATE YOU!  :) DID YOU KNOW that YOU buying these kits each month SIGNIFICANTLY supports the families of our artists and our employees at Unity.  We are ALL so grateful for you.

 

We spend HOURS and HOURS on these kits - we understand that the dollars you work so hard for and spend on our kit is IMPORTANT - therefore we choose the BEST of the BEST art from our Artists and use it in our Membership Kits. Month after month - he kits come together beautifully, and each month is always cause for celebration at Unity when the kit is revealed. :)

 

Back to the point of this email...

 

You know how much UNITY loves changing it up.  We have some SIMPLE and EXCITING changes happening around the corner with our memberships in order to allow UNITY to grow.  There is no growth without CHANGE! :)  

 

As a Unity family - we have decided to make the memberships VERY SIMPLE,  remove a significant amount of the RULES and ADD more BENEFITS to members. :)  Away with the RULES, bring on the HAPPY! :)

Because we put the best of the best art into our kits they are extremely beautiful...and breathtaking and FUN! {we think maybe you feel the same way and that is why you have been so loyal to continuing your membership.}  Unity is sad that when the month passes they are OVER.  It  really does not make much sense to us. We feel VERY DEEPLY that we need to allow NON-Members to have access to them at an affordable price.  {currently they are $45 for non-members}

 

BE EXCITED! - you are so special to us AS A MEMBER - this decision was reached keeping YOU in the FRONT OF OUR MINDS -  that is the BEAUTIFUL PART - we kept thinking, how can we make our membership BETTER. :) 

 

Each month we are only manufacturing a very LIMITED NUMBER of kits at RELEASE.  We will make enough for our MEMBERS to assure you that YOU will GET YOUR beautiful Kit  -  and then Unity will only have a LIMITED number of kits available the RELEASE Month. {membership perk? YOU are guaranteed a kit the very month they are released - no waiting.} - big deal. AND there is more.

Hi Angela!
These changes will be great for Unity which in turn makes it great for us! I have been a KOM member for over 4 years, and then collected the earlier kits to try and get them all! Although I might be missing the first couple! Lol
I also get the SOW and have all but 2 of those! I am slightly addicted to Unity I guess you would say! ;)
I am now adding some of the SMAK kits to the collection so the 20$ will be a great thing.
My comments and questions about the changes are:
1. will the current months kit be available to non-members the same month as the release,or will non-members need to wait a month to ensure that you have enough kits for those signing up each month?
2. isn't the 26$ fee the same that members are paying except that noon-members won't have the other incentives or coupons? I am just wondering if by charging the same price for members and non-members ,and since members will still pay shipping on the current kit as non-members will, does that really encourage new sign ups? If you have members that are not routinely ordering each month other than that months kit is the code for free shipping going to be enough to keep those members?
3. I am not saying that the kits for non-members should be 45$, because even though there are a lot of beautiful stamps in each kit, you are probably not getting a lot of them sold at that price. And that is sad.
What if the current members received reduced or free shipping on the current kit, or if the kits we're say 30$ for non-members? Option #2 would probably be better financially since that would be a lot of free shipping for Unity to have to absorb.

Well just playing devils advocate .... You are probably sorry you asked now!
You have to make decisions that will enable you to grow as a company, and to feed your families!, so whatever the final program is I know that it will be one that will be good for Unity, but also keeps the customer in mind as well!
